The Oneida moccasin both in a slip on and lace up member of the Russell Family. The style dates back to World War II days when they were worn by workers constructing the dirigible air ships. That patrolled the Atlantic Coast to detect and destroy German subs. Oneida were used to prevent puncturing any of the fabric use for the dirigible.
The slip on version shown has been up dated to include a saddle which allows them to be worn bare foot. With the lace going thru the saddle it does come in contact with your foot. Heavy boar hide sole which is easily resole able for 69.00 plus S&H. One of Russell customer has had them resoled 5 times.
