The new Russell Scent Control Bowhunter boot system was developed with input from the leading scent control companies...including Scent-Lok® Technologies, Wildlife Research Center®, Obenauf’s and X Scent™. Several prototype pairs of boots were made and rigorously tested and evaluated during the 2003 hunting seasons in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Oklahoma and Canada.

The new Russell Scent Control Bowhunter™ is a 9-inch tall triple vamp boot with a hand molded wrap around sole, fashioned from high quality green waterproofed WeatherTuff™ leather. The boot is totally lined inside with the highly effective activated carbon Scent-Lok® material. A second dynamic in Russell’s Total Scent Control System is employing X Scent™ socks, (Silver Fiber Technology™, powered by X-STATIC™)
